Before contacting Association Management Companies

It is tempting to simply search for an AMC by finding promising web sites, and then calling them to arrange initial meetings. A little more time invested at this stage will pay dividends later so start with a few internal basics-

  1. Form a selection committee representing all major aspects of your association.
  2. Determine the core services you require. Express the major volumes in each area if possible.
  3. Consider future needs and rank them in order of importance and timescale.
  4. Set 2 and 3 out in a brief document inviting proposals.

Only then should you contact an AMC company
